V-Joint (VJ) Panelling
V-Joint (VJ) panelling consists of tongue-and-groove boards that create a small V-shaped groove between each board. It’s commonly used to add texture and interest to otherwise plain walls. VJ can be installed vertically, horizontally or even as wainscoting. It’s a lovely way to introduce subtle character and shadow play, especially in hallways, bedrooms and living rooms. I often paint VJ the same colour as the wall so the texture is the hero, rather than a strong colour contrast.
