Millwork
Millwork refers to decorative and finishing timber elements like skirting boards, architraves, cornices, wall panelling and mantels. It’s the trim that gives rooms more character and a sense of scale. In older homes, millwork is often quite detailed and can be restored or simplified depending on the brief. In newer builds, we might introduce more contemporary detailing, from simple square-set plaster to subtle shadow-line trims. Thoughtful millwork can help tie old and new parts of a renovation together and give a space a more finished, considered look.
